The Annual General Meeting of the Irish Association was held in Holy Trinity, Drumbo on Saturday 25th May 2024. Following elections the Association Office Bearers from 1st January 2025 are:
- President – Simon Walker
- General Secretary – Fiona Chamberlain
- Ringing Master – Niamh Hickey
- General Treasurer – Torstein Strandenes
Two proposals agreed by the meeting were –
- The Librarian is no longer an Officer of the Association. Rather, the post will be filled by nomination and vote at the AGM. The Librarian will not have a vote at the meeting and will not be governed by the Officer 5-year rule.
- The IACR Bell Repair Fund has been wound-up. There have been no draw-downs from the fund since set-up approx. 30 years ago; Each district also has a Bell Repair Fund, so Association funds will be re-distributed to each district fund.
The Murphy Cup striking competition followed the AGM – Congratulations to St Nicholas, Carrickfergus on winning – some photos are at this link
