Please note that the confirmed date for the Northern District AGM and Cunningham Cup Competition will be Saturday 26th April 2025 @ 11a.m in St Patrick’s Church, Coleraine, followed by Short Church Service and Cunningham Cup 14.00hrs.
Update 7th February 2025
Eastern District AGM and Lindoff Cup will take place on Saturday 8 March at St. Saviour’s Church, Arklow.
Team Registration and order draw will take place from 13.30 with the competition starting at 14:00
The AGM will then take place after the Lindoff Cup

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Life Member and former Tower Captain of St Thomas’, Belfast – Duncan Scarlett who passed away yesterday – Friday 31st January 2025.
A Quarter Peal was rung in Greyabbey last night in his memory.

The Annual Patterson Cup Competition was held on Saturday 25th January 2025 in which two teams competed for the cup , St Malachy, Hillsborough and St Marks, Dundela, Belfast. Congratulations goes to St Malachy, Hillsborough on winning.
West Cork Ringing Festival 2025
The West Cork Ringing Festival is being held over the weekend of 1st, 2nd, 3rd February 2025. The Festival incorporates a Ringing School with tuition provided by the Association of Ringing Teachers (ART) and funded by a legacy from Mike Pomeroy.

Boyne Cup Competion
Boyne Cup Competion will held in St Peters Drogheda on Saturday 1st February 2025 – 14.00 – 17.00. This competition will be now held annually on the 1st Saturday in February. Competition entry, details & rules, can be had by contacting the tower secretary Liz Mannville. lizmanville@gmail.ie
Experience gained from the inaugural Boyne Cup Change Ringing Striking Competition, coupled with feedback received from participating teams, has resulted in modified rules for the 2025 competition, as follows:
- Change ringing only.
- Only one team from each tower may participate.
- In extremis, two separate towers that have too few change ringers singularly, may combine and enter a joint team.
- The minimum standard is Plain Hunt and the number of changes rung must approximate to the number of changes in plain course of Grandsire Triples, as follows:
- Grandsire Triples – one plain course
- Plain Hunt on 7 – five courses continuously without stopping
- Plain Hunt on 5 – seven courses continuously without stopping
- Plain Hunt on 6 (no cover) – six courses continuously without stopping
- Teams are permitted to ring any other change ringing method of their choosing, provided it meets the required minimum number of changes as per above.
- Only teams from any part of the island of Ireland may participate.
Executive Council Meeting and Association Practice
The Executive Council meeting will take place on Saturday 22nd February 2025 at 11am in St Patrick’s Cathedral School, Dublin.
The General Secretary will notify members in due course. An Association Ringing Practice will take place in the cathedral from 2 – 4pm
