Christ Church Taney, Dublin

The parish church of Christ Church, Taney in Dundrum was originally opened in 1818 although it didn't have any bells until the year 2000.

The actual bells were originally cast for the St George's Church in Dublin city centre.  When the church was closed the bells were put into storage for almost 10 years.
As a millennium project, they were installed in their present location, and were first rung on  New Year's Day.

Visiting ringer might like to note that the Green LUAS Line takes passengers from St Stephen's Green in Dublin city centre to Dundrum station, which is a short walk from Taney parish church.
